John Downes Krause

John is a former senior institutional investment manager and financial markets professional; he brings over 40 years’ experience in financial markets, funds management and product development to the Committee. John’s experience stems from an extensive career at the Commonwealth Bank, where he was a Senior Investment Manager Debt Market Securities. John’s lengthy experience covers many economic and interest rates cycles; he is particularly conversant with the workings of monetary policy and its sensitivities to investment strategy, asset allocation, and broader markets in general. John also brings a very strong compliance culture to his responsibilities, as well as experience with development and management of a wide range of investment products.
